What should I consider when choosing a home health care provider?

Below is a list of important question you should ask yourself and answers we have provided you to assist in finding the right care provider for you. We have also included other questions and answers often asked about us.  For further questions, contact us through the form at the bottom of this page, call us at 870-569-8082 or email us at amanda@commununitybestcare.com.

  • Does a Home Health Care Company require background checks for all care workers?

A good quality company would have background checks as a pre-requisite before hiring and maintained during employment.

It is important to the safety of your loved one to know about any issues that may arise in background checks of in-home caregivers.

  • What credentials does the company require of its Caregivers and Health Care Aides?

In-home care companies can provide workers for help with a variety of tasks. For instance, if your loved one needs a level of nursing care, in-home health care workers should have nursing credentials and experience to handle the needs of your loved one.

On the other hand, the agency may also provide in-home care workers who perform work such as light meal preparation, general cleaning, and companionship to your loved one. These workers must meet different criteria than nursing staff must meet.

Regardless of the level of care needed, however, it is wise to check the company's policy regarding the credentials needed for each type of worker and each level of care.

  • What type of quality assurance measure does the company take?

Working with a company that has a strong quality assurance policy provides additional peace of mind for you and your loved one. A company that invests in ongoing employee training and regularly reviews employee performance is likely to provide superior service.

Our Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience will be facilitating good communication and will be making in home visits every 62 days to ensure you are receiving the very best care. We also have a full time dedicated Care Coordinator who will maintain staffing at all times. Our goal is for our clients to be healthy, happy and feeling they are being well cared for.

  • Will the same Care Workers be consistently assigned to work with your loved one?

While every company will sometimes need to make staffing adjustments, in general, it is good to find a company that will assign specific workers to your loved one's case. In this way, your loved one can get to know the workers and be more comfortable with them.

An additional benefit to having the same workers assigned to the case is that in-home care workers who get to know your loved one well can spot potential changes in the health and alert you to any areas of concern quickly to make any potential changes to the care plan to ensure best results.

This is our personal mission at Community Best Care, to treat you and your family as our own. This means forming close bonds and maintaining those bonds.

  • Are your Caregivers screened and insured?

At Community Best Care we conduct background checks (Criminal, Adult/Child Registries and Driver's Record) as a pre-requisite before hiring and maintain in good standings during their employment. Our caregivers are properly insured and bonded to ensure the safety of our clients.

  • Are your Caregivers certified professionals?

Although you do not need to be certified to work in health care as a caregiver, you do need to have the skills and training to provide proper care and to meet health care standards.

Each caregiver working for In-Home Personal Care is selected through a vigorous screening and training process  to ensure they have the skills to perform their duties as the health and safety of our clients is at the upmost priority.

We keep up to date with training and skills sets required to provide exceptional service to our clients.

We assist and support our caregivers who chose to pursue a higher level of education to become certified as Health Care Aide.

  • Do you provide free consultations before we decide on any home care?

Yes, we provide free in-home assessments. During this assessment we will gather information and document your needs. Through discussion, we will come up with a plan together that benefits YOU, the client.

An assessment can be booked by contacting us by email, phone or through our website.

  • Will my insurance pay for in-home care?

There are a variety of options available to pay for in-home care. We will do everything possible following an in-home assessment to find out if you are qualified to receive in home care.

    AR Medicaid

    VA

    DHS Waiver Services

    Private Insurances

If no programs are available, we do take private pay options.

  • Do you only care for seniors?

No, although due to our demographics the percentage of care required is in higher demand.

Our list of services are applicable to all ages of individuals that require assistance, short or long term.
